Join us on Easter Sunday, April 16 at 11:00 a.m. for a worship service with Rev. Inanna Arthen, “Walking to Calvary and Back Again.”
The story of Easter in scripture tells of grief, loss and darkness followed by a miracle. In our own lives, we often feel that our path through dark times is endless, while happy endings and miracles are few and far between. How much of this is our perception? How do we maintain our faith in the strength of goodness and the return of the light? We’ll look at why the Easter story, and other tales of loss and redemption, teach us never to abandon hope.
We’ll be meeting up in the sanctuary now that it’s spring and the warm days are returning. The younger RE students will join us for the first part of the service, as the older kids meet for their “Questing” class. At 11:30, the younger students will have their “Beginnings” class while the older ones come out to participate with the adults. After RE, all the students will enjoy an Easter Egg / Scavenger Hunt.
