Sunday, February 28, 11:00 a.m. Sunday Worship: “Giving It Up and Letting It Go”

NEW TIME FOR SUNDAY WORSHIP! JOIN US AT 11:00 A.M.!

Join us on Sunday, February 28 at 11:00 a.m. for “Giving It Up and Letting It Go,” led by Pastor Inanna Arthen.
We’re done with the feasting and frolic of Mardi Gras, or “Fat Tuesday” and now it’s Lent–a time when traditionally, Christians would spend 40 days “giving something up.” Even those of us who don’t observe Lent for spiritual reasons feel a constant pull to “Let It Go,” as an obscure little song says–declutter, downsize, simplify, freecycle, recycle, clear it out. But what does this mean, and why is it so hard? How do we simplify in an affluent, consumer-driven society?

RE class will begin at 11:00 a.m. with the “Beginnings” class for younger kids, while the older kids participate in worship upstairs. At 11:30 a.m. the older kids go downstairs for their “Questings” class.

We’ll all share a family potluck lunch together at noon. This month’s theme is “Mid-Winter Tex/Mex.” Let’s spice up the winter and put a little spring in our step during this Leap Year. Nachos, tacos, burritos, chili, or whatever makes you say, “Ay, Caramba!” Everyone is welcome!
