Join us on Sunday, March 26 at 11:00 a.m. for a worship service with Rev. Inanna Arthen, “Roar Like a Lion! It’s Spring Equinox.”
“In like a lion, out like a lamb,” says the old rhyme about March. This year it’s seemed like the other way around. But that’s the paradox of spring, as life and energy break through the frozen crust of winter and explode into activity, wild weather and growth. Many of our ancestors celebrated the New Year at the Spring Equinox. How does this time of year affect us, and how can we use its power constructively?
We’re following our wintertime custom of holding Sunday service downstairs in the Parish Hall to conserve on heating costs. The younger RE students will join us for the first part of the service, as the older kids meet for their “Questing” class. At 11:30, the younger students will have their “Beginnings” class while the older ones come out to participate with the adults.
