Shocking events demand that we take action, but Americans seem to find this very hard to do. We’re a nation of tireless talkers, and our debates end up being “full of sound and fury, signifying nothing.” We’re especially addicted to logical fallacies and rationalizations–such as the “straw man argument”–but many people don’t recognize these fallacies even when they’re using one themselves. How can we get to the truth of an issue, and how do we move past debate to real action and meaningful change?
We will be meeting downstairs for Sunday worship from now until Easter, in order to save on the heating bills. Please come in through the equal access entryway to the right of the front doors.
We will not have Religious Education (Sunday School) this year, as our children have moved on or moved away. If you have questions about RE, please speak to Rev. Arthen or the Governing Board.
